My message is simple - the time for decorum and process has ended. Federal agents of a fascist state patrol our streets, gas our neighbors, and terrorize our immigrant community, while city council and state government offer empty words accompanied by zero action. City and state government hate you. They loathe us. They act in self-interest, and any actions that benefit us, exists because they offer greater benefit to them.

Portland is the 28th most populated city in the most powerful country this world has ever seen, and the inaction by the mayor and city council betrays the importance of what is taking place here. The federal government is waging an illegal war while ICE operates with impuinity, and now the president threatens to illegally federalize our elections, and yet city government shuffles responsibility between departments to obscure inaction, because helping us is secondary to helping themselves. They let corporate interests destroy our streets and set tax policy based on outdated economic ideas, and then feed you shit because you’re a shit eater that is used to eating shit. Portland government is performative. City council, Keith Wilson, and Tina Kotek are objective failures by every available metric.

I’m not running for city council to be an effective team player. I’m running to personally escort ICE agents to the county line, bleed every billion dollar company operating in this city, be an unmovable wall between city council and Keith Wilson’s performative bullshit, and to call for Tina Kotek to resign immediately. The era of political collaboration is over, because this is where it gets us. Now is the time for people to physically destroy the things that are keeping them oppressed and to take by force what they are owed.
